Tri-Groove Security Sockets

How a Tri-Groove security socket works
Tri-Groove is an external head-and-drive system, so the compatible socket passes over the outside of the rounded fastener rather than inserting into a recess. The socket's internal engagement features align with the three grooves, and torque is transferred through those engagement areas.

The socket should be fully engaged before applying torque.
