Screw & Supply was founded in April 1960 on Lafayette Street in lower Manhattan by Harry Thaw, later settling into a long-term home off the Bowery on Bond Street.

Peggy Thaw joined as a bookkeeper in 1974 and purchased the business in 1978 when Harry retired to Florida. Always a general full-line fastener distributor, the company soon began specializing in security screws — selling primarily to other distributors — and later added imported bits, keys, sockets, and drivers for installing and removing them.

After outgrowing Manhattan, Screw & Supply moved to Box Street in Brooklyn in 1984, then to its present, permanent facility in Holbrook, NY in June 1989. In 1999 the company added custom security-fastener specials, produced to print by expert cold headers — the foundation of the specials we supply today.

Serving industry since 1960, Screw & Supply continues to provide quality products and personal service — distributing security fasteners nationwide, with custom specials made in the USA.
